– this famous quote by Peter Drucker is a guiding statement for this work.
Investments in equity, diversity and inclusion need to be continually monitored, measured, and quantified over time. These changes will take time, and it is important to understand what you are starting from, where you want to go, and how you will know when you are making progress.
Benchmarking progress as it relates to diversity and inclusion can help an organization measure progress, prioritize areas of need, and make informed decisions related to resourcing. INclusion INcorporated is proud to partner with the Centre for Global Inclusion to utilize the Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Benchmarks (GDEIB) as a tool for this work. These internationally recognized benchmarks are a powerful way to organize and measure progress over time.
Specific leaders in the organization will be asked to input into the GDEIB, so that this is completed in sections according to responsibilities in the organization. While the full inventory consists of 275 benchmarks across 4 areas and 15 categories, it is anticipated that one person will complete 10-25 questions.
What is being collected?
Information on an organization’s progress related to:
• Vision and strategy
• Leadership
• Assessment, Measurement, and Research
• Communication
· Human Resources
In partnership with BINGO Impact Management, we have designed a tool to help organizations better understand the status of diversity, equity, inclusion and barriers within your organization.
The BelongINg Metric is an assessment tool, deployed digitally that gives organizations information on the demographics of who is in the organization and information about how those people feel about their experience in the organization. This allows for organizations to understand what they know and don’t know about the diversity of the organization, and the culture of inclusion. The data is all anonymized and provided back to the organization in a dashboard that will allow them to track out on progress over time.
Collecting demographic information from individuals across the organization, to help create a baseline as it relates to diversity within the organization. This portion of the survey includes Key demographic statistics including:
